Trance DJs Astrix and Neelix to headline Illuminaughty 10th anniversary bash in Manchester
Illuminaughty are known for their memorable club nights. Through the organisation’s captivating fusion of thrilling live artistic performances and carnival displays, blended with stunning visuals and musical beats from all genres, they have been able to carve a respectable and popular name for themselves first in Manchester, hosting unique club experiences in hot venues like The Ritz and Manchester Academy, to bringing their special events mix to major UK and European festivals.
But after leaving their creative and vibrant club night footprints abroad, Illuminaughty are returning to Manchester to celebrate hitting double digits. To mark their tenth anniversary, the event planners will bring their marriage of colourful performance and rhythm full of character to The Ritz, Gorilla and Xolo in a night brimming with fun on Feb 5th.
Tipped to be a ‘circus carnival spectacular’ that will see The Ritz transformed into a magical marquee big top, two of the biggest and most successful names in trance and progressive, Astrix and Neelix are set to headline in the main room of the event. Astrix, who’s fourth studio album He.art is due to be released early 2016, has stayed loyal to the underground trance movement, despite his massive hypnotic explosive sets on the dance floor leading him to deliver sublime nights at over 1000 concerts worldwide. He continues to incorporate his musical message of psychedelic emotional uplifting trance to the leading festivals including Dreamstate in America and Airbeat One in Germany among many others.
Hailing from Germany, Neelix has a reputation for integrating elements of progressive trance, progressive house and electro into his hedonistic and unique sets, in which each track is known to just keep building and building. This has led him to wow crowds at an exciting array of festivals across five continents including Tomorrowland in Belgium and the international Electric Daisy Carnival.
The carnival theme will be in full sway upstairs in The Ritz, which will feature gems like bearded ladies, stalls and a games room, whilst an abundance of artists such as Jax Dax, Black Eyes and Veba will treat revellers to a techno dungeon downstairs.
Guests can also enjoy an alternative Illuminaughty stage at Gorilla, which will be spruced up with the organisation’s signature bright décor as the Manchester venue morphs into The Generator, an electric engine-room bursting with spellbinding LED installations and epic drum and base as Krafty Kuts and Delta Heavy take to the stage. Having conquered clubs, British dance music duo, Delta Heavy a.k.a Ben Hall and Simon James are on course to release their debut album Paradise Lost on 4th March 2016. Meanwhile DJ Krafty Kuts, has performed alongside legends such as The Rolling Stones and The Prodigy.
