VIDEO: Foals – Give It All

Hot on the heels of last week’s announcement of their first UK and Ireland arena tour, Foals have now launched their next single ‘Give It All’ which impacts on November 27th.

Produced by James Ford (Arctic Monkeys, Florence + the Machine), ‘Give It All’ is one of the most reflective tracks to feature on ‘What Went Down’ as Foals’ sound is stripped back to highlight the tenderness of Yannis Philippakis’s vocal. It then escalates into a climactic finale courtesy that’s underpinned by Jack Bevan’s concluding rhythmic march. ‘Give It All’ is taken from the band’s critically acclaimed current album ‘What Went Down’ which debuted at #3 and commanded a Top 20 chart position for four weeks.

“That was one where it felt like stripping all the support and architecture of the band away and allowing it to be just a vocal and some chords,” said Yannis in an interview with NME. “That song more than anything we’ve ever done has been lead by its vocal. It felt like the purest bit of songwriting we’d ever done. It felt like a step forward.”

Starring Jérémie Renier and Caroline Fauvet, the video was shot in Paris with director and friend Nabil Elderkin.
