IllumiNaughty to host dance arena at Sunrise Celebration Festival

We all hear about climate change and global warming as it becomes prominent in the mainstream news cycle from time to time but how much do we actually do to help combat it and protect the environment? Perhaps not as much as we should. So if you’re a music and festival fan why not kill two birds with one stone by grabbing tickets to Sunrise Celebration’s ten year anniversary eco-friendly music festival?

Taking place from 21st – 24th May 2015 at Piercefield Park, Chepstow, Mournmouthshire, Sunrise promises to offer eco-build workshops, organic food and drink, eco-art and fashion exhibitions and ethical traders alongside, yoga, meditation,  massage and alternative therapies and literature talks. Revellers can also be treated to traditional crafts workshops including; stone, wood and chainsaw carving, willow weaving, blacksmithing, pole lathe, spoon carving and copper work and boutique camping involving gypsy caravans and tipis.

But what sets this alternative festival apart is the impressively diverse range of local and international artists that draw on the very best the Psytrance, Trance, Breaks, Electro, Hip Hop & Reggae scenes have to offer.

Setting the bar for creative chaos and pushing the boundaries of partying beyond the predictable, is IllumiNaughty, who recently announced that they will be hosting a special dance arena at this year’s Sunrise Festival. The Manchester based events organisation, who are renowned for their fusion of music, media, cabaret, circus and performance to add unique flavour to their indoor club nights, are swapping the indoors for the outdoors in this exclusive collaboration with Sunrise Celebration Festival.

Weird and Wonderful: IllumiNaughty events organizers are known for fusing music with circus performances.

IllumiNaughty will put their own signature flair and style on the festival with the dance arena expected to be magically transformed with fully themed-décor, light & laser shows, and circus-based performances, provided by their sister company, Visual Architects (work in photos below), who have become well respected for club décor installations both in Manchester and internationally with their brilliantly bizarre psychedelic designs.

IllumiNaughty’s Dance Arena is set to have an impressive line-up, showcasing performances from headliners like GMS, Ed Solo, Far Too LoudMorten Granau, Krafty Kuts, 1200 Micrograms, Rajaram, Avalon, System 7, Sonic Species, Deekline, Future Frequency and The Egg, as well as IllumiNaughty’s Mancunion residents, Matt Lickuss, Steve Podmore, Mazord and Eesh.

Having previously been a finalist in the prestigious Breakspoll 2015 “Best Large Event” award hosted at Manchester Music Venue, SoundControl, despite being the only indoor event finalist in the category, it is clear that IllumiNaughty’s colourful clubbing experience will leave crowds at Sunrise wide eyed in awe.

Elsewhere, in the Sunrise Arena, Manchester reggae band Extra Love and other local favourite, DJKembeKlan support a huge line up of Reggae, Hip Hop & Electronica, which features headline performances from Omar Perry (son of Lee Scratch Perry), Fun Lovin’ Criminal and BBC2/6 Music DJ, Huey Morgan, Sam & The Womp, Sian Evans of Kosheen, King Porter Stomp, Will And The People, Lazy Habits and Laid Blak and many more so there’s something to tickle everyone’s musical fancy.
