Inspiral Carpets announced as special guests at Gigantic Indie All Dayer 2015
The Gigantic Indie All Dayer has officially announced that: INSPIRAL CARPETS will be the special guests at their annual bash in Manchester Academy.
Inspiral Carpets are set to support headliners ECHO & THE BUNNYMEN at the event. As their last gig of the tour, the band are said to be playing a special greatest hit for the occasion set at the 23rd May 2015 Bank Holiday event.
Following on from their comeback this year with their high flying “Spitfire” single and self-titled album, the Mancunian band will be playing with their full and original 1983 line up, which has seen the return of their iconic front-man, Stephen Holt.
Tthe quintet from Oldham have led a trail blazing career spanning three decades. Formed in 1983 by Graham Lambert and Stephen Holt the band went on to become a global export, charting no less than 11 top 40 hits over the years. With big sing-a-longs aplenty up their sleeve, hits like “Caravan”, “This Is How It Feels”, “Dragging Me Down”, “Move”, “Saturn 5” and more.
INSPIRAL CARPETS will play alongside other premier indie acts on the bill including headliners Echo & The Bunnymen, Pop Will Eat Itself, Gang Of Four, The Primitives, Hurricane #1, EAT, Diesel Park West (performing their classic album Shakespeare Alabama), Milltown Brothers, Echobelly (acoustic), The Woodentops (acoustic), Mark Morris (of The Bluetones), BOB, and many more acts and DJs still to be announced.
