Laura Marling lines up fifth album in seven years for 2015 release

Laura Marling has announced details of her comeback in 2015 with her new album ‘Short Movie’. The album slated for release on March 23rd 2015, will be the twenty-five year old’s fifth album in seven years.

Short Movie sees the troubadour opt for a bigger and more electric feel. It is said to be the result of an extended period of reflection and a conscious attempt to change routine. Speaking about the album Marling said:

“I realised that I hadn’t been in place for longer than two or three weeks since I was 16” she explains “I thought I wonder what will happen if I try and root myself somewhere? Look back over the past eight years”

Entirely self-produced with co-credit  going to long time drummer Matt Ingram and studio engineer Dan Cox, the record came together at Urchin studio in London.
